良洞마을의 風水地理學的 立地에 대한 硏究

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 양동마을에 조성된 조선시대 전통 마을에 대하여 형성 배경과 풍수이론 및 고문헌에 나타난 복거론을 전제로 접근하였다.
전통 마을은 풍수이론인 형세론, 형국론, 좌향론을 기본적으로 적용하였는데 형세론, 형국론으로 터를 잡고, 그런 다음 좌향론으로 방향을 정하였다.
형세론은 간룡법, 장풍법, 득수법, 정혈법으로 세분화하여 연구를 하였고, 형국론은 사람, 동물, 조류, 식물, 사물, 문자 등으로 산 모양과 혈과의 관계를 규명하였으며, 좌향법은 나경이론인 나침반으로 좌향과 물과의 관계와 좌향과 입수와의 방향성을 측정하였고, 안대 좌향 이론으로 대문과 마당, 대청과 안채의 향이 주변 단정한 모양의 산과 지형물인 외경을 어떻게 받아들이고 있는지를 조사하였다.
입향조가 대종가인 전통가옥을 최고의 혈처에 입지 선정하여 건축을 하고 나면, 그 곳을 기준으로 나무의 뿌리에서 줄기가 생기고 그 줄기에서 가지가 뻗어 나가듯이 파종가와 그 후손이 거주하는 가옥이 지어졌다.
전통 마을은 풍수적 특성이 있는데 기본적으로 배산임수, 전저후고, 전착후광의 지형적인 구조를 갖추고 있어야 하고, 그 바탕 위에 혈로 들어오는 용이 기세가 있으며, 혈처에 기운이 잘 보전되어야 하고, 청정한 물을 얻어 명당의 기운을 정화시키는 작용이 있어야 한다.
이처럼 전통 마을은 삶의 터전이기에 풍수적인 이론을 전제로 매김질 된 곳이다. 양동마을에 전통가옥에 대한 자료를 분석하고 조사를 하다 보니 고건축학, 현대지리학, 환경 및 조경학적인 선행 연구는 많았으나 상대적으로 전통풍수지리학적인 연구가 부족하였음이 아쉬웠다.
앞으로 전국 구석구석에 보석처럼 숨어있는 전통마을을 체계적으로 비교 분석하고 밀도 있는 연구가 되는 계기가 되었으면 하는 바람이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study approached the traditional villages of the Joseon Dynasty created in Yangdong Village on the premise of forming background, the theory of Fengshui and so on.
Regarding traditional villages, the theory of the power of the earth, the theory of the shape and theory of the left-facing theory that formed Fengshui theories were basically applied. The location of villages was settled by the theory of the power of the earth and the theory of the shape and the direction was decided by the theory of the direction-decision.
Traditional villages have Fengshui characteristics, which basically have the topographical structure of ‘water in front and mountain in the rear (背山臨水)’, ‘front low and rear high (前低後高)’, and ‘front narrow and rear wide (前窄後寬)’, the force of a dragon entering the opening on that basis, the energy of the opening well preserved, and the clean water that has the function to purify the energy of a good site.
As such, the traditional village is the home of life, so it is based on Fengshui theory. While analyzing and investigating data on traditional houses in Yangdong Village, there were many prior studies of ancient architecture, modern geography, environment and landscape, but it was regrettable that there was a lack of traditional Fengshui studies.
Hopefully, this will serve as an opportunity to systematically compare, analyze and intensely research traditional villages hidden in every corner of the country like jewels.
