The method is the first step of researching for the purpose of developing an automatic leadwire cutting machine.
A PCB on which many long leadwires remain, is setup on a turntable and the turntables is continously ticked with arbitrary angle, and a perspective front-view is taken at every ticking position.
It this paper, both some problems on taking front-view images and the method of deciding a binarizing threshold gray-level were discussed.
As a result of simulations and experiments, the proposed technique turns out to be very useful for automatic leadwire cutting machines.
