This study is designed to analyze a determinant of customers' re-registration at a sports center. That is, the main goal of this study is to clarify relations between variables by clarifying influence of a motive, an obstacle on exercise concentration, interest, and satisfaction on re-registration in a sports center and analyzing an influence of exercise concentration, interest, and satisfaction.
Customers of complex sports centers located in Gyeonggi-do were selected as a population for this study and 600 members of a sports center collected by wireless. 590 questionnaire among all distributed questionnaires were collected, and then, 19 including an insincere answerer and double preparation was eliminated. Hence, 571 questionnaires were finally used in the analysis. In addition, following statistical tests were performed with SPSS WIN 15.0, the statistics program, according to a hypothesis of this study. To speak more precisely, cronbach's alpha was calculated to examine the factor analysis and reliability and the Multiple Regression analysis was performed to test relation between variables.
Results from such goal and methods of this study are as follows:
First of all, as a result from inquiring into correlation between a motive, an obstacle, concentration, interest, satisfaction regarding exercise and re-registration decision, it was found that a motive has the positive relation with a motive, concentration, interest, satisfaction, and re-registration decision, but an obstacle has the negative relation with concentration, interest, satisfaction and re-registration.
Second, interpersonal relations promotion, family unity, and self-improvement of a motive has the positive influence on concentration and interest. However, making good use of spare time and health-oriented attitude does not have influence on concentration and interest. In addition to that, interpersonal relations promotion, family unity, and self-improvement has the positive influence on customers' satisfaction but not on making good use of spare time and health-oriented attitude. In general, self-improvement, interpersonal relations promotion, and family unity are the most common motive of customers registered in a sports center.
Third, interpersonal relations promotion and family unity improvement of a motive has the positive influence on determining re-registration decision. Also, factors of family play a significant role for re-registration. On the other hand, health-oriented attitude does not have any influence on re-registration decision. Fourth, time limitation and an opportunity difficulty of an obstacle to exercise participation does not have any influence on concentration, interest, and satisfaction.
Fifth, time limitation and an opportunity difficulty of an obstacle to exercise participation does not have any influence on re-registration decision.
Lastly, concentration and interest have the positive influence on re-registration decision. In particular, interest highly influences satisfaction. Concentration does not have any influence on satisfaction. In addition to that, both concentration and interest have the positive influence on re-registration. Especially, interest is the significant factor influencing over a re-registration variable.
In short, when a motive of customers using a sports center is self-improvement, interpersonal relations promotion, or family unity improvement, customers' satisfaction would increase due to interest and exercise concentration. Also, service quality of a sports center should be improved. To do so, Providing customers with various interesting activities at a sports center is a recommended method to create synergy effect from re-registration.
