초등학생의 자아존중감 발달궤적, 자율성, 미디어기기 과다사용 및 행복감의 구조적 관계 = The cross-sectional and longitudinal relationships among self-esteem, autonomy, overuse of media device and happiness in elementary school students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 초등학생의 성장에 따른 자아존중감의 발달궤적이 자율성, 미디어기기 과다사용 및 행복감에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 9, 10, 11, 12차년도 자료 중 이상치나 4개 변인 모두 결측치가 있는 경우를 제외하고 1,070명의 자료를 사용하였으며, 분석을 위해 SPSS 25.0과 AMOS 23.0 프로그램을 활용하여 잠재성장모형 분석과 다변량 구조모형 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 첫째, 자아존중감은 시간의 흐름에 따라 증가하였으며, 발달궤적에 따라 개인차가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 자아존중감의 초기값과 변화율은 자율성을 매개로 행복감에 간접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐 아니라, 자율성과 미디어기기 과다사용의 이중 매개경로를 통해서도 초등학생의 행복감에 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과는 초등학생의 긍정적 자아존중감의 발달을 통해 자율성의 확립과 미디어기기 과다사용을 예방하고 행복감을 증진시키기 위한 교육 프로그램 개발의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to investigate the developmental trajectory of self-esteem in elementary school students and the effects of autonomy, overuse of media device and happiness on self-esteem. To achieve this, data from the 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th Panel Study on Korean Children with a total of 1,070 valid cases after excluding cases with missing data for any of the four variables. Latent growth modeling and multivariate structural modeling were conducted using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 23.0. The results showed that, first, self-esteem increased over time and individual differences were observed depending on the developmental trajectory. Second, both the initial value and rate of change in self-esteem indirectly influenced happiness through autonomy, as well as through the dual mediation pathway of autonomy and excessive media device use. These findings suggest that promoting positive self-esteem development in elementary school students can prevent excessive media device use and enhance happiness through the establishment of autonomy. The results of this study can serve as a basis for developing educational programs to promote self-esteem and prevent excessive media device use in elementary school students.
