유아 영어교육의 지도방법과 교재에 관한 국내 연구의 경향 및 내용 분석 = Current Research Issues and Research Contents in Teaching Methods and Textbooks in Early Childhood English Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아영어교육의 지도방법 및 교재에 관한 국내 연구의 경향과 내용을 분석하는데 연구의 직접적인 목적을 두었다. 구체적으로는 조기 영어교육 현장에서 실제 이루어지고 있는 지도 방법 및 교재에 관한 연구논문들의 현황과 실태를 총체적으로 조망하고, 그 결과에 근거하여 추후 유아영어교육 분야에서 지도방법 및 교재 개발에 관한 연구의 방향을 설정하는 기초 자료를 제공한다는 데 궁극적인 목적을 두었다. 연구내용 분석 결과, 동화와 이야기 들려주기를 이용한 영어지도방법의 효과를 가장 많이 연구하고 있었으며, 그 다음으로 게임, 노래, 역할극, 자유선택놀이 활동 등에 대한 연구들이 있었다. 교재연구는 유아교육기관에서 가장 많이 사용하고 있는 교재를 언어적 측면과 실용적 측면 등을 비교, 분석하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate current research issues and research contents about teaching methods and textbooks in the area of early childhood English education. By analyzing current research trends, it was aimed to view the present situation and the actual status of early childhood English education systematically, and to guide the future research in terms of teaching methods and textbooks in early childhood English education based on current early English education status and situation. Results showed that fairly tales and storytelling were the most used teaching methods in current research following by games, English songs, role play, and utilizing indoor free play time.
Current research about textbooks used in early childhood English education surveyed the most used English textbooks in kindergartens and analyzing linguistic and practical aspects of the contents of textbooks.
