As our eyes are opened to the esthetic sense in living surroundings recently, environment design has come to be a subject of great interest and keen attention. Along with this trend, esthetic creation has been attempted ever so briskly in various fields of our environments. Among them, office environment has begun to be recognized as a field that must be improved. It is already a well known fact that the office environment has been developed and modernized into open style and come bo be able not only to provide more work space but also to contribute for increase of work efficiency.
Moreover, the office work of today of today is required to be carried out in a most reasonable and efficient manner in order to live up with ever so fast moving world of business. Because of this, our office is necessarily to be prepared with a variety of O.A systems for the timely process of piles of workload every day. By the same token, and for the economy of office space, we have to take into consideration the problem of office furnitures, too, as they are the dominant factor that determines the efficiency of space usage. With this in view, functional system furnitures are most emphasized to be developed with design of High degree versatility and flexibility so that they may serve for most effective performance of office work.
As preparatory work to produce the system furniture of such functional design, it is needed first to review and analyze various factors that affect office environments and to organize them into a most reasonable and scientific system of high effectiveness. Only after intensive elaboration on how to best position work man in center with machinaries, paperworks, articles, etc. in convenient access from him and in good harmony with overall space composites, a desired system furniture can be formed out.
In consideration of the above, this study has endeavored to produce for presentation a system furniture of one-man use that could contribute for realization of creative and respective office life of human dignity with a design of most effective coordination, modularity, mobility, flexibility, composibility, etc. and hopefully pursued for better office environment of future days.
