The purpose of this paper is to derive common educational implications through the comparison between the Ren(仁) of Zhu–xi(朱⼦) and the morality of Patricia Churchillland. First, if Zhu–xi interpreted the origin of Ren from a theoretical point of view as a transcendental that was the point of view of li–yi–fen–shu(理一分殊) given by heaven, Patricia interpreted it as a material thing caused by hormone action and imprinted on genes whose morality has evolved. Second, the similarities are discussed by comparing Hyoje(孝悌) and Chungseo(忠恕) to reciprocal altruism. In neuroscience, since altruism is interpreted as the function of mirror neurons and hormones based on empathy for others' emotions, it is confirmed that there are similarities with Zhu–xi(朱⼦)'s position. But as a way of Ren(仁), Hyoje(孝悌) and Chungseo(忠恕) point out that while altruism is based on human nature, evolutionarily reciprocal altruism is the result of the survival and reproduction of genes. Third, Zhu–xi and Patricia commonly emphasized attachments, embodiment, modeling, and observational learning which it explored educational implications.
