한중일 FTA와 한국 자동차 산업의 영향과 대책 : 자동차부품산업을 중심으로

As one of the most influential industrial manufacture in the past 20th century, automobile comprises as Korea's distinguished industry greatly affecting the nation's economy. The automobile industry not only embraces 10 to 11 percent in the overall production, export and value added aspect, but also encompasses the direct employment effect of 8 percent. Thus, this thesis analyzes and discusses the future counterplan to one of the major issues of Korean trade policy of the early 21st century, the FTA, particularly that of the Korea, China, and Japan. The thesis discusses the need for the FTA, and assesses the consequences of the FTA of the three Northeast Asian countries(Korea, China and Japan) in the automobile industry, particularly in the automobile parts industry. Furthermore, the paper goes on to propose a counterplan and strategy on Korea's side.In chapter 2, the thesis examines the significance and the effect of the FTA, and the nations in service agreement currently and the nations in discussion for service agreement. Thereby, the thesis discusses the economic effect and the counter strategy in all fields, and sets forth the way for Korea in the future Northeast Asia FTA.In Chapter 3, the thesis looks into the automobile industry and the automobile parts industry of Korea, and also discusses comparisons with the automobile industry of China and Japan. In addition, the effect of the Korean automobile industry after the Korea-China-Japan FTA, and the counterplan and strategy following the agreement is reviewed.Chapter 4 and 5 examine the reality of the Korea-China-Japan FTA and the Korean automobile parts industry, and consider the future of the Korean automobile parts industry by discussing the effect on the Korean automobile parts industry and the reality and future of the world automobile parts industry. Moreover, the thesis looks at the counterplan, strategy and future of the Korean automobile parts industry amidst the globalization of the world automobile parts companies.Finally, the last chapter summarizes and reinstates the main theme of the thesis, eventually leading to the conclusion.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지난 20세기 100년 동안 일상생활 전반에 걸쳐 가장 큰 영향을 끼친 공업제품중 하나인 자동차는 우리나라의 기간산업으로 국가경제에 미치는 효과가 지대하다. 자동차 산업은 우리나라 전체 제조업의 생산액, 수출액, 부가가치 측면에서 10~11%를 차지하고 있으며, 직접고용효과도 8%에 이른다. 따라서 본 연구는 변화하는 통상환경 속에서 21세기 초반 한국 통상정책의 중심 화두 중의 하나인 FTA에 대한, 특히 한중일 FTA의 제반 현황을 분석하였다. 특별히, 한국의 FTA 체결 필요성과 동북아 3개국(한국, 중국, 일본)의 FTA가 자동차산업, 특히 부품산업에 미치는 영향 등을 분석하고, 이에 대한 우리의 대책 및 추진 전략을 제시하였다. 제2장에서는 FTA의 의의와 효과 및 주요 국가별 체결 및 추진현황을 살펴보았고, 한국의 FTA 현황과 한중일 FTA 추진현황 및 전망을 통하여 경제적 효과뿐 아니라 분야별 대응전략을 통하여, 향후 전개될 동북아 FTA에서 한국이 나아가야 할 길을 고찰해보았다.제3장에서는 한국의 자동차 산업 및 자동차 부품산업을 보았고, 일본과 중국의 자동차 산업과의 차이를 살펴보았다. 한중일 FTA에 따른 한국의 자동차 산업에 미치는 영향 및 이에 따른 대응방안과 추진 전략을 연구하였다.제4장, 제5장에서는 한중일 FTA와 한국의 자동차 부품산업의 현실을 통하여, 한국의 자동차 부품산업에 미치는 영향, 세계의 자동차 부품산업의 현실과 전망을 통하여 한국의 자동차 부품산업이 나아가야 할 길을 모색했고, 한중일 FTA와 세계의 자동차 부품사들의 거대화 Global화 되는 현실에서 한국의 자동차 부품사들의 대응방안, 추진전략 및 진로를 다루었다.마지막으로 결론 부분인 제6장에서는 지금까지의 논의를 요약 정리하면서 본 논문의 주제에 대한 결론에 이르렀다.
