    Mikyung Do This study tried to make some observations based on books written on
    international tourism and to present some of their observable study tendencies.
    To sort out some of the study trends, I took several steps. First, the theory of international tourism was studied. Second, the movement of international tourism in Korea from 1960 to 1995 was observed. Finally, all thirteen books on international tourism were thoroughly studied. The following trends were detected economic effect was emphasized in 1960's and 1970's social and cultural impact as well as economic effects were studied in 1980's and during this period many scholars recognized international tourism promoted international friendship. In the 1990's negative aspects of economic effect and the importance of human life were studied by the scholars.
    In conclusion, the tendency to study international tourism is influenced by the movement of international tourism in Korean.
