In this work we have developed Fiber Optic Safety Monitoring System which are applicable for Large Structure such as bridge. The system monitors deformation such as elongation and deflection from the Optical signal obtained from Fiber Optic Cable Sensor attached onto structural parts under consideration. The attachment determines what to be measured/monitored among deformations such as elongation, delectation and displacement. The system is expected to have sensible range of km' s with location resolution 10m. Beyond the targeted application to bridge safety monitoring, the system has prospect of wide range of remote deformation monitoring for buildings, towers, tower cranes, spine structures of airplane/ship.
