다문화 관련 사업 사례와 제언

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리사회 다문화 현상을 진단하고 그와 관련한 정책사업의 현황과 정책 요구를 제시하기 위한 연구의 일부이다. 여기에서는 주로 현재 진행 중인 다문화 관련 정책사업과 민간사업들의 사례를 제시하고자 한다. 특히, 그중에서도 건강가정지원센터와 인문주간 내 다문화 관련 행사 중 주로 다문화 가정과 일반시민이 동참하는 사업들을 중심으로 현장조사, 심층인터뷰, 관련기관 자료 조사ㆍ분석을 제시하고자 한다. 이들 사례를 통해서 다문화 관련 사업 현황을 알아보고 이들의 성과와 한계를 평가하여 보완의 가능성을 타진하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is a partial revision of “Strategies for Humanities Education for Multicultural Understanding”, a policy report produced in 2008 for the promotion of multicultural policy, (The National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, 2008.05, 2008). This paper aims to discern the condition of multicultural consciousness of Korean society by looking into multicultural policies and related activities. For this purpose, the paper examines cases of multicultural promotional programs operated by government and non-government organizations and make a few suggestions. In particular, the paper focuses on programs that were designed to encourage joint-participation of multicultural families and local families. The first case in point is various education programs and special seasonal events held by several local Multi-cultural Family Support Centers under liaison of the Central Office of Healthy Family-Support Center in 2008. Secondly, the paper examines special programs promoting multiculturalism under the auspices of the project “Humanities Week” in 2008.
