The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of early childhood teachers’ happiness and emotional expression on their interaction with young children. Ultimately, it aimed to contribute to developing basic research on teachers’ teaching by identifying the variables related to teacher-child interaction. 259 early childhood teachers at early childhood education institutions in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do participated in this study. The collected data were analyzed using an SPSS 20.0 program. Reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the correlation among early childhood teachers’ happiness, emotional expression, and interaction with young children were significant respectively. Second, there were significant effects teachers’ happiness and emotional expression on their interaction with young children.
