전통무예 택견의 발달과정에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 택견의 생성과 발달과정에 나타난 변화요인과 역사적 특징을 분석하여 전통무예인 택견의 정체성을 되찾는데 그 의의가 있다. 그 결과 택견의 변화 및 발전단계는 다음과 같이 나눌 수 있다. 첫째, 생성기 택견은 전문기관이나 특정집단에 의한 제도적 전수가 아닌 자발적 생성과정을 통해 자연발생적으로 성장하였다. 둘째, 휴지기 택견의 전승체계는 단절을 초래하였으며 광복이후에는 서구문화와 외래무술의 도입으로 인해 모진 고통을 겪었다. 셋째, 태동기 고(故) 송덕기, 고(故) 신한승으로부터 명맥을 유지하여 1983년 중요무형문화재 제76호로 지정받았다. 정부의 이러한 조치는 택견이 역사성과 전통성을 확인 받게 된 크나큰 의미가 있었다. 넷째, 중흥기 택견의 보존 및 발전을 두고 택견 단체 간의 갈등과 경기활성화를 통한 대중성확보에 주력하였다. 다섯째, 현대적 발전기는 온 국민이 함께하는 생활스포츠로서의 부활과 함께 대한체육회 정식가맹은 전통무예 단체로서의 주체성을 확립하였는데 중요한 의미가 있다고 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study made an analysis of the elements of change and historical characteristics that hare taker place in the course of creation and development and This study established identity of the taekkyon. The stages of change in taekkyon can be divided as follows. First, Creation period: taekkyon was not developed by systematic handing down to the next generation by a special group; it naturally grew in a self-perpetuating process. Second, Abeyance period: taekkyon went through a period in which it was not handed down. After the Korea’s Independence, it experienced great suffering due to the flood of Western culture and foreign martial arts. Third, Fetal period: taekkyon was preservedby late Song Deok Gi and Shin Han Seung. In 1983, it was designated a major intangible cultural asset number 76. Such measure taken by the government carries a significant meaning as taekkyon was given recognition for its historical and traditional values. Forth, Revival period: For preservation and advancement of taekkyon, there were conflicts between taekkyon groups. During this period, revitalization and popularization were attempted. Fifth, In this period: taekkyon became modernized and became a daily sport. This period is significant in that it joined the Korea Sports Council and established its identity.
