This study is to examine the current state of the curriculum management at Science Core Schools, and to suggest the way to activate it. For these purposes, 3 high school in Seoul has been selected, and then interviews, class observations targeting the principal, the teachers, and the students were collected. Examining
the curriculum of Science Core Schools focus appeared in interviews, it was found that these Science Core School policy is effective. The results of the interviews claimed the potential to nurture future outstanding students through stronger emphasis in math and science than general high schools. By means of promoting
these students to field of natural sciences and engineering, providing plethora of career path experiences, and educating with professional science and math techniques, these students will be able to grow with creative mind set. The observation of the curriculum and the instructors denoted that the organization of the curriculum is run through firm management. The emphasis is played on variety of activities and there seemed to be plenty of interactions between students and instructors during class. Improvements seen in this study are as
follows: Science Core Schools autonomy expansion, relieving the burden on teachers, curriculum enrichment and enhancement, establish linkages with universities, support programs, such as the Department of Education and the
Ministry of dimensions.
