Noise is one of important factors to discriminate the speech sounds in natural environments. Therefore the sound to noise ratio(SNR) is an important factor why we can or cannot discriminate the speech sounds in noise environments. The purpose of this study was to illustrate the differences of the speech discriminate abilities based on various SNR for hearing children. Sixth-grade forty children were participated for this study. +24, +12, +6, 0, -6, -12, -24dB SNR were input based on speech sounds. When the numbers of SNR were increase, then speech discriminate abilities were decrease. The SNR of -6dB was about twelve percents of the speech discrimination ability, therefore, the SNR of -6dB was critical number to understand the speech. The speech discrimination abilities were different according to the various numbers of the SNR.
