    The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of the barn swallow eco-inquiry project on middle school students' knowledge, inquiry, and attitudes on climate change. The barn swallow is one of the 100 national climate change biological indicators designated by the Ministry of Environment, and its population has recently decreased dramatically. The barn swallow eco-inquiry project, which involved ecological monitoring and conservation activities, was conducted over a period of about 6 months. This project provided students with a practical example of climate change education linked to real-life experiences. The result of analysis showed that the barn swallow eco-inquiry project had a positive effect on middle school students' knowledge, inquiry, and attitudes on climate change. Based on the results of this study, we hope that follow-up research will be conducted on effective and practical climate change inquiry learning to activate climate change education.
