The problem solving of architectural design through knowledge-based system should initially precede the formalization of knowledge representation. In most cases, the formalization includes the abstraction that is very important concept in the early stage of computer aided architectural design. The final representation of abstraction could be accomplished by programming languages which can be recognized by computer, or knowledge-based system tools, in addition, some architectural knowledge representation methods were introduced, and architectural fields which could be applicable to knowledge-based system were induced in the early stage of computer aided architectural design.
