국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리가 누리는 현시대의 기술적 혜택은 복잡한 사회문제를 수반한다. 이러한 현상은 현시대의 인간에게 기술 진보적 성향과 근원(origin)으로 회귀하려는 양면성을 지니게 한다.
특히, 원형(archetype)적 형태로 되돌아가려는 욕구는 새로운 미적 창작의 시초가 된다.
근원으로의 회귀본능은 현대인들이 본래의 인간 본성이나 원시적인 상태로 돌아가고자 하는 욕구를 말한다. 이러한 욕구는 자아의 상징과 관련이 있다. 자아는 인간의 개인성과 인식, 정신 활동에 관련된 것으로, 근원으로의 회귀본능은 이러한 자아복원의 상징을 의미할 수 있다. 이러한 맥락에서 현대인들의 근원적 회귀본능을 바탕으로 다양한 작품들이 창작 되어지고 있다.
본 고에서는 고배가 가진 상징성을 현대적 이미지로 표현하기 위한 시도를 하였다. 도자 공예에서 고배의 형태가 가지는 상징적인 의미와 이를 활용한 도자 표현 기법을 탐구하는 시도로, 도자 공예 분야에서 새로운 시각과 연구방법을 제시하였다.

The technological benefits of the present era that we enjoy are accompanied by complex social problems. This phenomenon makes people of the present age possess both the tendency to advance in technology and the ambivalence of returning to the origin.
In particular, the desire to return to the archetype becomes the beginning of a new aesthetic creation.
The instinct to return to the source refers to the desire of modern people to return to their original human nature or primitive state. These needs are related to the symbolism of the self. Ego is related to human personality, cognition, and mental activity, and the instinct to return to the source can mean this symbol of self-restoration. In this context, various works are being created based on the fundamental instinct of regression of modern people.
In this study, an attempt was made to express the symbolism of Gobae in a modern image. As an attempt to explore the symbolic meaning of the shape of a gobae in ceramic craft and the ceramic expression technique using it, a new perspective and research method were presented in the field of ceramic craft.
