This study is a descriptive survey study was conducted to examine the influence of growth mindset and empathy on ethical values among nursing students. Data were collected from July 1 to July 21, 2024, using a self questionnaires from 128 nursing students enrolled in two universities located in Chungbuk and Jeonnam, South Korea. growth mindset, empathy ability, and ethical values were measured using standardized self report instruments. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis with SPSS/WIN 26.0. Ethical values showed significant positive correlations with growth mindset (r=.42, p<.001) and empathy (r=.20, p<.001). Factors significantly influencing ethical values were growth mindset (β=.34, p<.001) and the admission motive of ‘matching academic grades’ (β=–.44, p=.001), explaining 31.2% of the variance (F=8.15, p<.001). Based on these findings, it is suggested that nursing education programs incorporate learning environments that foster the development of growth mindset through curricular courses, coaching and mentoring programs, guest lectures, community engagement, and volunteer activities.
