In order to see if the higher temperature (30℃) affected on the SD action, three SD strains were raised at different temperatures (25℃ and 30℃) and then emerged flies were examined for the k values. The results indicated that 1) no significant difference of the k values were detected between the two different temperatures (25℃ and 30℃), 2) no variations of the k values were found from the continuous treatment of the higher temperature (30℃) on the SD flies and 3) the sensitivity of temperature on the SD action seemed to be positive but the effect of temperature might be not heritable.
