창조경제시대 생활체육여성지도자의 역할과 정책적 시사점 = The Opportunities for Female Sport-For-All Instructors in the Era of the Creative Economy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper investigates the female instructors of ‘Spot for All’ in Korea, and seeks for policy options to improve their status and employment. Female instructors plays a very substantial role in Korea, contributing to the stable and continuous pursuit of ‘Sport for All’ in the nation. Nevertheless, they are suffering from low wage and overloaded duties, which keeps their turnover rate very high. Considering the importance of the female instructors, measures should be taken to keep or increase employment of capable female instructors. This paper suggests two-fold policy approaches: one is a more general approach to eliminate discrimination against female workers, and the other, which is more concrete and detailed, is to enhance their capacity and explore new frontier such as international development cooperation for sports. These approaches are very timely and reasonable as they are consistent with the major policy directions of ‘the creative economy’ and ‘70% of employment rate’, pledged by the current government.
