      The purpose of this study is to preliminarily investigate curriculum design model for a developing a balanced learning system according to the 7th elective curriculum. The matter of choice of education experience has been more important in the elementary and secondary curriculum. According to the 7th National curriculum, the elective curriculum more emphasize the power of subjects choice of student compared with local educational authorities and school. The choice of subjects in an elective system is key to constructing the 7th elective curriculum. Therefore we have a difficulty in designing elective curriculum in context of conflicting choice power of subjects.
      On the basis of valanced need, we are able to design a model of balanced learning system through several methods which means required and elective choice design, from subject-based design to educational program design, core design, educationally guided choice strategy, and from elective subject-based planning ti elective object-based planning. In view of orientations and strategies of curriculum design, we propose eight design models of balanced learning system according ti the 7th elective curriculum. They are as follows; first, guided-learning design model, second, elective object-based planning model, third, Road Map design model, fourth, core curriculum design model, fifth, distribution requirement model, sixth, diverse electives design model, seventh, differentiated design model, finally, achool role sharing model. We should develop design model of balanced learning system on the basis of theses preliminary eight models toward the efforts of valancing various choices.
