스마트폰의 UI 디자인 진단 및 차세대 기술 동향 : 기능적 감성을 중심으로 = The Smart phone UI Design Evaluation and Trend of New Generation Technology: Focused on Functional Sensibility

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 스마트폰UI 디자인의 동향을 분석하여 향후 스마트폰UI 디자인을 참조 하는 것에목적을둔다. 분석제품의 범위는 스마트폰이 본격적으로 시작된 2007년부터 2010년 현재까지의 출시한 제품으로 설정하였고, 분석제품은 총52개로 애플4개, 삼성18개, 엘지11개, 스카이4개, 에이치티씨7개, 노키아2개, 모토로라4개, 에릭슨2개이다. 주요 연구결과로는 첫째, 현재 스마트폰UI동향은 디스플레이 사용자 인터페이스, 포터블 사용자 인터페이스, 네추럴 인터랙션 사용자 인터페이스, 스펙 사용자 인터페이스로서 4가지 분야였다. 둘째, 시기별로 혁신적인 UI를 갖춘 애플의 신모델 아이폰공개와 사회적 이슈에 따라 UI 디자인 개발 동향에 변화가 있었다. 셋째, 애플은 친화적인 UI, 삼성은 하이스펙의 지원, 스카이는 제품의 아이덴티티를 강화함으로 다양한 스마트폰라인을 구축함을 바탕으로 8개 제조사중 국외 제조사는 애플이, 국내 제조사는 삼성과 스카이의 성장세가 가장 큰 것으로 조사되었다. 애플의 CEO 스티브잡스가 기술의 통합 및 재발견을 통해 UI를 개발한 점을 착안하여, 본 연구에서는 인간을 중심으로 한 제품 설계 시 도입될 기술의 선정 기준을 정의하고, 차후 UI 설계에 응용하고자 하였다.

The aim of this study was to examine the trend of smart phone UI design and then provide the expectation of future smart phone UI design. The range of study subjects were from 2007 to September 2010, and study subjects were 52; Apple 4, Samsung 18, LG 11, SKY 4, HTC 7, Nkia 2, Motorora 4, Ericsson 2. Study findings were as follows: First, the trend of smart phone UI were 4 areas as Display UI, Potable UI, Natural Interaction UI and Specification UI. Second, the trend were period changes depending on the launch of new Apple products and social issues. Third, The Apple, Samsung, SKY were the fastest growing companies of the 8 surveyed companies. Themain cause of this growth was the creation of the great UI design. This study noticed that Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs's method for developing the innovative UI were the integration and the rediscovery of technologies. And, this study set the selection standard for the technologies applying to newsmart phone UI.
