It is difficult to develop traditional IETM systems because they require presentation systems for both docment authoring and graphic formatting.In case of the commercial product for IETM systems,it is inconvenient and difficult to understand their usages.
To dvercome such problems,this paper proposes Web-based IETM systems with the XML techology can represent information of structures and semantics for the documents.
In addition,we bulid Active X controls for processing a drawing and expand functions of Web browser,which allows us to easily use the IETM system.
We implement an IETM system for the ship and its equipments and show its easy development and its convenient usage.
