The purpose of this study is to investigate the marital satisfaction of development disability children`s mother. Marital satisfaction can be predicted from social demographic variables, social psychological variables and the characteristics of disability children`s mother. This study used a number of existing measures. These included the Task Participation Index(Blood & Wolfe, 1960), the Decision Power Index(Blood & Wolfe, 1960), the Conjugal Understanding Measure(deTurk & Miller, 1986), the Marital Satisfaction Scale(Choi Gue Reun, 1988), the mother`s understanding of the disability child(Kii bler-Ross, 1969), the mother`s raising attitude of the disability child(Kuczynski & Kochanska, 1991). This study collected data from developmental disability children`s mother. The data analyzed by use of Frequency, Correlation, ANOVA and Regression analysis. The followings are the results of this study: Marital satisfaction of developmental disability children`s mothers showed significant differences depending on social demographic variables(educational level, income, the number of years of marriage, the frequency of conjugal recreation, the number of child) and marital satisfaction of developmental disability children`s mothers demonstrated significant differences depending on the mother`s understanding of the disability child and raising attitude of the disability child. Finally, the partial of social psychological variables were associated with marital satisfaction for development disability children`s mother. (the best predictor: Conjugal communication) These findings intends that Social workers need to consider service for the mother who has not high educational level and has not self-control raising attitude for their disability child and not reaches the stage of acceptance. Most of all, social workers need to help disability children`s parents to develope communication skills and to solve communication problems.
