      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      The turbulent energy intensity in the wake by the vortex shedding are effective for UV radiation. Therewith the effectiveness of wake generator is considered as an enhancement of UV disinfection. The numerical analysis results presented give important evidences and explain that it is possible to predict UV disinfection performance based on flow simulation. In this study, CFX program has been used to obtain solutions to the problem of three-dimensional, turbulent water flow in the UV disinfection system. An numerical investigation of two types of the vortex generator is presented. The qualitative and quantitative evaluations of the wake are made by numerical and experimental methods. From the results were obtained that the delta wing type vortex generator is more effective than circular type because of the higher vortex frequencies and the smaller drag.
