나눔교육과 가치형성 = 대학의 사회봉사활동을 중심으로

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to propose the way to improve the community volunteer activity currently held at the universities in the country. First, conditions for forming personality and values are embodied from a theoretical perspective. Given this, the current condition and issue of the university community volunteer activity and the way to improve it are critically discussed. The authors define thinking, practice and sensibility as the required elements for educating students for the community volunteer work, and demand that a great effort is needed to identify ethical principles, social structural problems and a proper way of sharing in order to foster students ability to think about sharing. The community volunteer program held at the universities does not help students forster thinking ability, in particular, and so the possibility of the volunteer activity getting into a undesired way cannot be ruled out. Hence, the authors insist that the current program that demands only students physical involvement in the volunteer work, encouraged by crediting them with pass or fail, should be changed to a class of sharing that can nurture thinking, practice and sensibility among students. They also claim that the educator who teaches the class should engage in the volunteer work together with students, at least, once a semester to promotes educational effect of sharing.
