The Al₂O₃ fiber preform reinforced aluminum alloy composites were made by low pressure infiltration method. And two inorganic binder which SiO₂ sol and Al₂O₃ sol were used to make preform and then it were sintered at 1160℃. Airborne structures for apply application a high temperature strength from existing compare of matal stuff have excellent for special. Its matrix is metal, reinforcement is whiskers or fiber. The binding ability of the binder has influence on the compressive strength of the preform. We use low pressure infiltration method to manufacture the MMC, infiltrating temperature are 650℃, 700℃, 750℃. This paper is basal to make MMC which is used for piston head and some other resistant to wear parts of automobile, engine, shipbuilding et cetera. this paper is base data to make MMC for piston head of automobile by low pressure infiltration. this paper is analysis data to make MMC for production Preform of low pressure infiltration.
