한국어판 영적안녕척도의 타당도 검증 = Validity Analyses on Korean Spiritual Well-Being Scale

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 영적안녕척도(SWB)의 타당성을 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 종교적 안녕 하위척도(RWB) 10문항 실존적 안녕 하위척도(EWB) 10문항으로 구성된 총 20개 문항을 번역하여 예비검사를 실시한 후 한국 기독교대학의 재학생 350명에게 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 분석하였다. 영적안녕척도는 탐색적 요인분석과 확인적 요인분석결과 두 개의 하위요인이 존재하는 것으로 나타났으며, 수렴 및 변별타당도의 근거가 확인되었다. SWB의 내적합치도 Crobach ?는 92, RWB와 EWB의 내적합치도는 각각 95와 .82로 높게 나타났다. 등급반응모형에 의한 문항분석 결과 문항의 양호함이 경험적으로 입증되었다. 신앙수준에 따라 영적안녕척도의 편균점수간 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으나 신앙수준이 높은 집단은 척도점수에서 천정효과를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze validities of the Spiritual Well-Being Scale(SWB). The SWB is developed by Paloutizian and Ellison and consists of 20 items having two subscales, the Religious Well-Being Scale(RWB) and the Existential Well-Being Scale(EWB). Each subscale has 10 items, which the RWB includes odd-numbered items and the EWB even-numbered items. All the 20 items are translated into Korean. After pilot study, the final set is performed to 350 college students attending Christian colleges and Universities in Korea.
Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyes result in that the SWB has two subscales clearly, and each of the RWB and EWB includes 10 items respectively, as Paloutzian and Ellison(l982) originally designed. Furthermore, convergent and discriminant validity are also empirically confirmed. The Cronbach a coefficients for internal consistency of the SWB, RWB, and EWB are high enough, .92, .95. and .82, respectively. Item analyses with the graded response model is conducted, and the results show that 20 items have appropriate item discrimination indexes and good enough in terms of item rating categories. The SWB and its subscales show significant mean differences among different faith levels--nonchristians, christians but young, mature christians, and christians committed. However, ceiling effects exist among christian groups.
