기술혁신 및 시장환경 니즈에 따른 냉연제품 소비패턴의 구조적 변화 = Structural Change of Consumption Patterns for Cold Rolled & Coated Steel Sheets According to Technology Revolution and Market Needs

This paper is concerned with the global market trend of cold rolled (CR) ＆ coated steel sheets, according to the technological revolution and change of consumption pattern for those products. The shipment and consumption patterns are analyzed in terms of the major CR demand industries in the United States and Japan. The CR sheets are rapidly replaced by the coated, especially in the automotive industry. The shipment and consumption patterns are compared among the countries leading the automobile industry. Then, it is estimated the consumption trend of CR and coated steel sheets in Korea. In addition, the shipment patterns toward the major industries are considered. Finally, it suggests the investment strategies for the domestic steel mills on the aspects of facility and technology development, in order to survive the struggle for existence.
