다문화가정 청소년의 생활실태와 복지욕구 특징 = 일반청소년과 비교분석을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 다문화가정 청소년의 생활실태와 복지욕구를 일반가정 청소년과 비교 분석하면서 그 특성과 차이를 파악하고, 이에 기초하여 다문화 청소년문제에 대한 효율적인 정책 과제를 모색하고자 전북 익산지역의 다문화청소년 89명과 일반청소년 127명을 조사ㆍ분석한 것이다. 조사결과 다문화 청소년은 일반청소년에 비해 가정이나 학교에서 의사소통이나 관계형성이 미숙하였고, 지역사회의 자원 활용에서도 제한적이었다. 이에 따라 교육, 문화, 경제차원에서 다층적 욕구를 지니고 있었다. 이러한 욕구를 해소하기 위해서는 교육복지, 문화복지, 지역복지 체계를 갖추어야 할 필요가 있었다. 이 중에서 가장 시급한 것은 다문화가정의 경제적 어려움을 해소할 수 있는 소득지원방안을 적극적으로 모색해야 한다. 경제적 안정이야말로 문화욕구와 교육욕구를 충족시킬 수 있는 기반이 되기 때문이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The first purpose of this study is to make a comparative analysis on the characteristics of living conditions and welfare needs between multi- cultural family youth and Normal family youth. The second purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics and differences of their lives and welfare needs to help facilitate policy setting about issues related to multicultural family youth. The subjects in this study are 89 adolescents with a migrant background and 127 teenagers of a single Korean racial background in Iksan city, Chonbuk Province. As a result of investigating the selected teenagers, the adolescents with a migrant background lagged behind the teens of a single Korean racial background in terms of communication and interpersonal skills at home and school. Community resources were less accessible to the former as well, and the former eventually had multidimensional educational, cultural and financial needs. Therefore educational, cultural and community care systems should be built to address the educational, cultural and economic divide. First of all we must be searching for income increasing program for solution to that economic difficulties of multi-cultural families. Economic stability make a satisfying the multi-cultural families cultural needs and educational needs possible.
