정전의 문화사: 제도, 담론, 기억으로서의 문학

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 '정전의 문화사'라는 새로운 문제설정을 통해 다문화 · 탈경계 사회 속에서 정전’의 (탈)구성에 관한 미래적 비전을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. ‘정전(canon)’은 문학사적 지식체계의 표상인 동시에 국가주의적 기획이 투사된 이상적 텍스트이자, 대중들의 독서욕망이 투영된 한 시대의 에피스테메이다. ‘정전의 문화사’는 근대 문학 안에 내재된 다양한 경계들 속에서 공인된 문학과 사적 독서체험 간의 경합을 통해 생성되는 공론장에 대한 연구로, 문화론적 지형과 독서장치, 그리고 문학사와 문화제도가 역동적으로 길항하는 문학 '장'에 대한 연구이다. 본 연구는 우리 문학사(문화사)에서 정전이 무엇인지, 이 정전이 언제 어떻게 선별되었는지 그리고 ‘정전’이 어떻게 수용 정착되고 있는지에 대한 종합적 연구를 지향한다. 그래서 해방이후 정전에 대한 ‘담론’이 어떻게 형성, 정착되었는지, 그리고 정전을 구성하는 제도가 무엇이었으며 이를 수용하는 개인들의 반응과 수용양태는 무엇이었는지 조사 분석하고자 했다. 이를 위해 교과서, 문학전집, 우량도서, 독후감, 베스트셀러 등을 연구 대상으로 삼아 한국 문화사 속의 고전, 정전, 명작의 의미를 재해석하고자 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is to present a future vision problem through a new set of cultural history of the canon(classic). The 'canon' is a symbol of literary historical knowledge, is ideal episteme of nationalism, and is the text projected desires of the masses. 'History of canon' is the study of public space is created through competition among institutionalized literature and reading experience, and is the study of the literature and culture of reading devices competing cultural discourses. What this study is that the canon in our literature (cultural history), and directed that a comprehensive study on how and when screening and that this temple is how the 'canon' settlement acceptable. In this study, what's canon(classics) in literature, that the canon(classics) are screened, and when and how canon(classic) look at what was acceptable and what was settled. To this end, this paper analyzed the textbooks, literature whole volume, superior books, book reports, best-selling, and the classic cultural history in Korea was to reinterpret the meaning of a classic.
