    Once a target has been selected for engagement and a weapon has been fired at the target, the main task for the combat modeler is to describe the results of the engagement. This is an area where much work has been done, and many analytic models for assessing engagement outcomes have been developed. These analytic models can often be used as the heart of an assessment routine for a combat simulation. We discuss methods for modeling the impact point for a round fired at a target. Especially, we are particularly interested in whether the projectile hits its intended target.
