경증 치매노인의 상호작용과 의사소통 증진을 위한 찰흙중심 집단미술치료 사례 연구 = The Case Study of Clay-Centered Group Art Therapy to Improve Interaction and Communication of the Elderly with Mild Dementia

The purpose of this study was to improve interaction and communication of the elderly with mild dementia by clay-centered group art therapy. The subjects of the study were 6 elderly people over 70 old in the night class of S city E Elderly Day Care Center who participated in a single experimental group was composed. During the research period, from September 5, 2019 to January 16, 2020, the researcher conducted a total of 18 sessions of clay-centered group art therapy once a week. ACIS interaction scale and communication scale (HCS) were used as research tools, and Wilcoxon coded rank verification was performed for data analysis to confirm quantitative changes and qualitative changes by session. As a result, first, as a result of the pre-and post-analysis of the ACIS interaction scale, all sub-domains of the physical domain, information exchange domain, and relationship domain were significant. Second, in the pre-and post-analysis of the communication scale, all sub-factors of communication, such as conversation area, communication area, and behavioral non-verbal aspects, were all significantly differrent. Third, in the process of art therapy, the experimental group showed improved an increase interest in working, acceptance of program topics, increased listening and intimate conversation, and positive verbal and non-verbal expression through repeating clay use. Based on these contents, the significance and limitations of this study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 찰흙 중심의 집단미술치료를 통해 경증 치매노인의 상호작용과 의사소통의 증진을 목적으로 하였다. 연구대상은 S시 E노인주간보호센터의 70세 이상 야간반 노인 6명으로 단일실험집단으로 구성하였다. 연구기간은 2019년 9월 5일부터 2020년 1월 16일까지 찰흙 중심 집단미술치료를 주 1회 총 18회기로 연구자가 진행하였다. 측정도구는 ACIS상호작용척도와 의사소통척도(HCS)를 사용하였고, 자료 분석은 Wilcoxon 부호순위 검증을 실시하여 양적변화를 확인하고, 회기별 질적변화를 확인하였다. 그 결과 첫째, ACIS상호작용척도 사전․사후 분석 결과, 신체적영역, 정보교환영역, 관계영역의 하위영역에서 모두 유의미하게 나타났다. 둘째, 의사소통척도 사전․사후 분석에서 의사소통의 하위요인인 회화영역, 의사소통영역, 행동비언어측면영역에서 모두 유의미하게 나타났다. 셋째, 미술치료 진행 과정에서 실험집단은 반복적 찰흙 사용을 통해 작업 관심도 향상, 프로그램 주제 수용, 경청과 친밀한 대화 증진, 긍정적인 언어적․비언어적 표현이 향상되었다. 이러한 내용을 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대하여 논의하였다.
