수원시 공공보행안내 시설물의 표준디자인 개발 연구 = A Study on the Development of Standard Design in the Public Pedestrian Guidance Facilities of Suwon-si

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Many cities in the world are carrying forward the project for realizing the walkable city. It aims to reduce the traffic accident rate of pedestrians and also to vitalize commercial districts in accordance with the increase of pedestrian volume. Thus, this study aimed to establish the basis for Suwon-si to become a walkable city through the development of pedestrian guidance facilities considering the universal design that could be easily understood by every one. The spacial scope of this study is the whole area of Suwon-si, and the scope of this study is the analysis on the current status and the development of pedestrian guidance facilities design. For the analysis on the current status, the general current status, spacial current status, advanced cases, and paradigm of Suwon-si were researched. The development of design is composed of basic plan, and the development of pedestrian brand, appearance design, and content design. The contents and conclusions of this study are as follows. First, as a place filled with plentiful historical/cultural resources, Suwon-si would be needed to have the customized-pedestrian guidance plan that could be easily cognized by foreign visitors. Second, based on the research of the current status, the classification of facilities and the direction of appearance design and content design were drawn. Third, the master-plan and the materialization measures containing the identity of Suwon-si were suggested. Fourth, on top of establishing the pedestrian brand for the formation/spread of pedestrian culture in Suwon-si, the simple appearance design considering the pedestrian convenience and the function-centered content design were suggested. This study is significant in the aspect of becoming a basis for forming a walkable city Suwon, and it would be contributing to Suwon-si’s planning of pedestrian culture together with its citizens in the future.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

세계적으로 여러 도시에서 보행친화 도시를 구현하기 위한 프로젝트가 진행되고 있다. 보행자의 교통사고율을 저하시키고 보행량 증가에 따른 상권의 활성화를 기대하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 누구나 쉽게 보고 이해할 수 있는 유니버설디자 인을 고려한 보행안내시설 개발을 통해 수원시가 보행친화도시로 거듭나기 위한 기반을 마련하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 공 간적 범위는 수원시 전역으로 연구의 범위는 현황분석과 보행안내시설 디자인 개발이다. 현황분석을 위해 수원시의 일반현 황, 공간현황, 선진사례, 패러다임을 조사하였다. 디자인 개발은 기본구상, 보행브랜드 개발, 외형디자인, 내용디자인 개발 이다. 본 연구의 내용 및 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫 번째, 수원시는 풍부한 역사 문화자원을 가진 곳으로 외국인 방문객들도 쉽게 인지할 수 있는 맞춤형 보행안내계획이 필요하였다. 두 번째, 현황조사를 토대로 시설물 분류, 외형디자인, 내용디자 인의 방향성을 도출하였다. 세 번째, 수원시의 정체성이 담긴 마스터플랜, 구체화방안을 제시하였다. 네 번째, 수원시의 보 행문화 형성 및 확산을 위하여 보행브랜드를 구축하고 보행편의성을 고려한 간결한 외형디자인, 기능 중심의 내용디자인을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 보행친화도시 수원을 형성하는 기반이 되는 연구라는 점에서 의의가 있으며 향후 수원시가 시민과 함께하는 보행문화를 계획하는데 기여할 것이라고 본다.
