다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to investigate relationships among mother-child communication practices, children`s perceptions of their mother`s emotion coaching, and those of development of children`s emotion regulation capacity. After recruiting 329 college freshmen from three universities by convenient sampling, paper and pencil questionnaires were used to collect data. Six hypotheses established were tested with correlations and a multiple hierarchial analysis. The results showed that the frequency and amount of mother-child communication practice, problem-solving of mother-child communication practice, and descriptive mode of maternal linguistic expression had statistically significant relationships with children`s perceptions of mother`s emotion coaching. Contrary to results of the previous research, children`s perceptions of mother`s emotion coaching were not associated with children`s perceptions of their emotion regulation capacity.
