농촌연구에 대한 농업경제학적 접근과 농촌사회학적 접근의 비교와 학제간 연구의 필요성 = A Comparison between Agricultural Economic Approach and Rural Sociological Approach to Rural Study and Requirement of Interdisciplinary Study

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The objectives of this study were 1)to explore the development of modern economics, 2)and to explore the development of agricultural economics, 3)to try to improve mutual understanding between rural sociology and agricultural economics for interdisciplinary study in the era of Globalization. Traditionally rural sociology takt it for granted that rural society is isolated areas. But rural society is no longer isolated areas in the era of globalization. From this point of view it is necessary to consider agricultureal policies of other countries, world trade. Especially after 1970s there were a new trends in rural sociology (i.e. sociology of agriculture). The sociology of agriculture have interested in political economy, world-system, and globalization. Recently agriculture of Korea was in a critical condition in both domestic and international dimension. So mutual understanding and interdisciplinary study between rural sociology and agricultural economics will be profitable for study of rural society of Korea in the era of globalization.
