Phthalocyanine blue is a very stable constructured pigment and is the most excellent of pigment so far discovered. It is of so stable constructure that it only sublimates and never is destroyed when heated to as high as 500℃. Hower, due to difficulty in its manfacturing process to maintain at 200℃ in solid state. It has not been manufactured in this country. A method of synthesizing it by means of organic solvent is due to this difficulty of maintaining the intermediate at 200℃.
This paper considers its reaction mechanism and preparation process. Discovery of many derivatives of this pigment has been to date.
