생태계서비스 평가가 환경위기 인식 및 친환경행동 참여의사에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Evaluation of Ecosystem Services on Environmental Risk Perceptions and Pro-Environmental Behavior Intentions

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 들어 환경문제가 이슈화되면서 생태계의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 생태계서비스는 인간이 생태계로부터 얻을 수 있는 혜택과 가치를 말하며, 우리의 일상생활과 연관되어 향후 의사결정 및 정책결정 과정에 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고, 생태계서비스에 관한 평가와 측정이 부족한 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 생태계서비스 평가를 기반으로 환경위기인식과 친환경행동 참여의사 사이의 관련성을 검증한다. 연구결과, 생태계서비스 평가 요인이 환경위기 인식에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 지역주민들의 환경위기 인식이 친환경행동 참여의사에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것이 확인되었다. 마지막으로, 생태계서비스 평가 요인, 환경위기 인식과 친환경행동 참여의사간의 유의한 영향관계를 검증하였으며, 생태계서비스 중 문화서비스와 친환경행동 참여의사 사이에 직접적인 영향관계를 확인하였다. 향후 연구에서는 심층적인 자료 수집을 위해 면접 또는 관찰 등과 같은 질적 접근법도 활용해야 할 것이며, 시간의 흐름에 따른 생태계서비스와 관련된 실증 연구가 더욱 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the environmental concerns have been increased, ecosystem services play an important role in individuals’ and policy decision-making process. The purpose of this paper was to examine the relationship between ecosystem services, environmental risk perception, and pro-environmental behavior intentions. Results of this study found that the evaluation of ecosystem services had a significant effect on environmental risk perception. Specifically, regulating services were the most strong predictor of explaining environmental risk perception. There was a significant relationship between environmental risk perception and pro-environmental behavior intentions. This study also indicated that one of ecosystem services, cultural services, had a direct and significant effect on pro-environmental behavior intentions. Future research focuses on qualitative approaches, including interview and observation, to identify the detailed information and characteristics of ecosystem services over the period.
