제10장 Change of Education and Perspective for Integration of South Korea and North Korea - Focusing on Educational System -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study provides policy implications for the integration of education in the age of reunified Korea in the future, by comparing and analyzing the education systems of South Korea and North Korea. To achieve this goal, this study firstly examined the comparative perspective for different education systems of South Korea and North Korea. Second, this study compared and analyzed how the education system after independence has changed and what the education system in the age of competition was like. Third, the education systems of South Korea and North Korea in the age of globalization were compared and analyzed. Fourth, the comprehensive education systems of South Korea and North Korea were compared and analyzed. Lastly, this study sought the perspective of education system for the age of reunified Korea in the future. The results of this study are as follows. First, the perception for North Korea and the interest in reunification requires the national practical will. Second, the government needs to provide a long-term policy to derive the integration of education system after unification. Third, researchers should have more fundamental criticism and contemplation for the educational ideology and education system of socialism. Fourth, the integration of the education systems of South Korea and North Korea should be on the basis of humanism. Based on these results, this study suggests policy implications for the integration of education in the age of reunified Korea in the future.
