朝鮮時代 美術敎育에 나타난 三絶思想에 관한 硏究 = A Study for Samceor Thought in Art Education of Yi Dynasty

Paintings of Choseon Dynasty are inclouded Figure painting. Documentary painting, Decorative actual painting, but painting for appreciation belong to essential cultural arts with thought of governing classes who are led polities, economics, culture as well as poetry, writings, paintings and music. The nobility of Choseon Dynasty tried to realize aesthetic ideal through poetry, writings and paintings as elegance and morals. Therefore, the paintings of Choseon Dynasty is of help to raise confucian human nature.
The nobility of Choseon Dynasty have a regular social meetings on the basis of concord thought between poetry, writings and paintings as Samceor thought and they express the pleasure at that time using poetry and paintings. And they develop the culture of criticism about the paintings of other persons by writing the comment of paintings each other. We confirmed as before that this Samceor Thought is the generalized thought in Customs painting, Folk painting as well as actural scene and landscape paintings or painting in the literary artist's style. Even though Choseon Dynasty despised paintings.
Dohwa Seo(Drawing Department) is belonging to the ceremonies board managed in learning structure, and Sung Kyun Kwan or S대 Dang(Wllage schoolhouse) taught poetry and writings and the common people also drew the paintings and enjoyed the appreciation, so we can see that the painting is the one of the method of personality self-culture from "Spirit" to be found the real meaning as well as shape of paintings by attaching importance to the personality of painter in Samceor Thought.
Folk painting is the expression of type, mainly decoration, not appreciation, it is the actual painting in common life and the common people also tried to decorate their surroundings beautifully. Folk painting were drawn by low class artists, stragglers or anonymous artists. It is the life paintings with actuality to decorate the common space, not appreciate, Folk painting is varied the size and shape of paintings and expressed freely without regard to the materials of drawing paper or subject matters and expression type.
The Fine Art Education of today is directed from expression to understanding and appreciation, but we can already see this tendency from Samceor Thought of Choseon Dynasty. Therefore, Samceor Thought attaches importance to the personality of painter, it is "Spirit" to be gound not only the shape, but also real meaning, it is expressed freely without regard to the materials of painting or subject matters and expression type, it is opened the materials of paintinting and subject matters and it is the life art to enjoy drawing or appreciation to the common people, so we can receive lots of comment of current topics in the Fine Art Education today from these comments.
