      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      The purpose of the study is to examine the current scene of the 'study circles' in university and to search how to improve it. For the study, 114 students acting in the study club were selected. The instrument is the questionnaire created by the researcher on the basis of the study activities of the students. The analytical method of the study is frequency analysis and mean.
      The results of the survey are as follows. First, most of students participated in the study circle through personal network such as their friends and professors. Second, they joined the study circle to expand the opportunity of study or to improve the ability of study. Third, they have run the circle well, are satisfied and have an idea to attend this kind of activities in the future. Fourth, they responded that partnership with team members and the leadership of the leader are the important factors for the activities of study circle. Fifth, they replied that the pre-study as well as the close relationship with team members should be preceded for the units that they are going to study.
      The research results of this study on how to improve the study circles show the followings. First, it is necessary for the students to be educated so that they can organize and run the study circle. Second, it is needed for the group members to have the common relationship each other. Third, the role of teachers are important to activate the study circle. Fourth, the education support is to be provided for the study circle to be raised so that it could be a consistent study circle, not a temporary one.
