골프 선수의 ‘Choking’에 대한 근거이론적 접근

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 골프선수들의 초킹 발생 과정과 초킹의 신체적 및 심리적 증상, 그리고 초킹에 대한 대처 등 초킹과 관련한 전반적인 사항들을 파악하는데 목적을 두고 실시되었다. 이에 골프선수 6명을 대상으로 근거이론 방법을 적용하여 골프 선수의 초킹 경험 과정의 개념 및 범주화를 위한 개방코딩 단계에서 최종적으로 총 90개념과 21개의 하위범주, 11범주가 도출되었다.
골프 선수들이 경험하는 초킹의 인과적 상황은 ‘부정적인 생각으로 평정심을 잃음’, ‘경기에 대한 중압감’으로 나타났으며, 맥락적 조건은 ‘중요한 순간’, ‘환경적 영향’으로 나타났다. 연구의 중심현상은 ‘평상시와 다른 나’로 나타났으며, 상호작용 전략에 영향을 미치는 중재적 상황은 ‘심리 훈련’, ‘중요한 요인 인식’으로 나타났고 상호작용전략은 ‘심리적 잔상지우기’, ‘골프에 집중하기’, ‘환경 변화시키기’로 나타났다. 골프 선수의 초킹 경험 과정에 관한 이론을 구축하기 위해 핵심범주, 이야기 윤곽 전개, 과정 분석을 실시하였다.
그 결과 핵심범주는 ‘평상시와 다른 나에서 벗어나기’였으며, 이에 따른 유형은 심리의존형, 연습의존형, 자포자기형의 3가지 유형으로 나타났다. 또한 과정분석은 위기단계, 노력하기 단계, 나만의 방법 찾기 단계, 벗어나기 단계로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 향후 골프선수들의 최고수행을 위한 기초자료로 의미있을 것으로 사료된다

This study is designed to understand the process by depth approaches to Choking Under Pressure in golf players. For this purpose, we used grounded theory approach that was widely used qualitative analysis. We selected six golfers as participants who had KPGA members and KLPGA members.
The participants were given in-depth interview using unstructured and semi-structured format. The interview was recorded and transcribed using recording player under the agreement of the participants, and information was collected through text data as well as in-depth interview. Also, additional interview on participant's experiences -which were merely shown- or parts that were difficult to interpret was conducted, and supplementary questions were asked until saturation.
For data analysis, constant comparative analysis was performed by collecting and analyzing the data simultaneously based on the open coding, axial coding, and selective coding procedure of grounded theory. Concept and categorization by grounded theory paradigm was carried in open coding, and category analysis was performed in axial coding. In selective coding, pattern analysis was performed after identification of core category, explication of the storyline, hypothetical standardization and relation statement by core category. Last
