This research will focus on development of a convenient method for the separation and simultaneous detection of insuline and anti-diabetic drugs (namely glipizide, glibenclamide, glimepiride, gliclazide, tolazamide, tolbutamide, nateglinide, repaglinide, rosiglitazone and pioglitazone) in human urine by LC-MS/MS.
Sample preparation (extraction and hydrolysis), separation (liquid chromatography) and mass spectrometric detection method (structural and quantitative information) will be developed and optimized.
