우리나라 철도산업의 현황과 미래상 = State-of-the-Arts study on Railroad Industry

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라의 철도는 1899년 최초로 경인선에서 개통되어 100여년이 넘게 달리고 있다. 처음에는 석탄을 태워서 수증기의 힘으로 가던 것이 지금은 전기의 힘을 이용하여 달리게 되었으면 최초 시속 50킬로미터 이하의 속도로 달리던 것이 현재는 시속 300킬로미터 이상의 속도로 달리는 엄청난 발전을 했다. 그 동안의 철도의 발전과 더블어서 우리나라의 경제와 기술 또한 세계의 우수한 나라들만큼 큰 성장을 한 것은 사실이다. 그러나 여기서 안주 할 수는 없다. 세계 으뜸의 철도산업을 가지기 위해서는 더 많은 노력이 필요 할 것이다. 저는 이 논문에서 우리나라 철도산업의 현재 상황과 문제점을 되 짚어보고 앞으로 우리나라 철도산업이 나아가야 할 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 우리나라 철도산업의 현황 및 문제점에서는 철도수송, 철도시설, 철도차량, 철도운영 및 서비스, 철도안전, 철도기술 및 해외협력, 철도투자 현황을 살펴보고 철도산업의 여건변화와 전망에서는 사회․경제적 여건변화 및 전망, 그리고 철도․교통 여건변화 및 전망, 외국의 교통정책 동향, 철도 수요전망 대하여 살펴 볼 것이다. 또한 철도산업의 발전전략 부분에서는 철도산업 구조개혁과 역할, 철도투자 정책방향, 민간투자의 적극 활용, 경전철 등 대체수단의 통합관리 그리고 대륙철도 연결 및 해외 철도사업 진출, 철도 이미지 쇄신 홍보에 대하여 알아볼 것이며 끝으로 철도산업의 미래상에서는 고속화된 철도교통망 구축, 철도 경영수지 흑자전환 및 고객서비스 획기적 개선, 철도기술 선진화 및 철도산업 국제경쟁력 제고, 선진국 수준의 철도안전시스템 구축에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. 이 논문을 통하여 우리나라 철도산업의 현황과 문제점에 대해서 많은 이들이 공감해 주기를 바라며 또한 우리나라 철도산업의 발전에 관심과 더불어서 많은 지원이 있기를 바랍니다.

<Abstract>

In korea, first railroad ran from Seoul to Incheon in 1899. At first, the train ran under the speed of 50㎞/h. because it used the coal as a power source. but nowadays the speed is up over the 300㎞/h because of the use of electricity. For many decades we haven't improved only economic technological power but also railroad industry like many other countries. But we can't be satisfied. We have to do more efforts to foremost railroad industry. In my study I want to indicate the present condition of the railroad industry and show the direction that we have to go. In the first section (present condition and problems of railroad industry) of this study, we will see the railroad transport, facility , railroad car and management, overseas cooperation, safety and technology, investment in railroad industry and in the second section (condition change of railroad industry and prospect) of this study, we will see the change of the socialized economic condition, prospect in several field including railroad, and also see the overseas traffic policy, railroad demand. In the third section (development strategy of railroad industry) we will see the organization reformation and policy direction of the railroad industry, aggressive use of private investment, integrated management of alternative transportation, a transcontinental railway, overseas expansion of railroad industry, railroad publicity. In the last section (prospect of the railroad industry) of this study, we will see building of high-speed railroad network, improvement of customer service, improvement in railroad technology, promotion of competitive power, construction of high-level safety system. I wish that many people sympathize with my study about present condition of railroad industry and also wish that there will be lots of interest and support to development in railroad industry of our country.
