韓國 障碍人雇傭 促進에 관한 政策方案 = A Study on the Employment Policy for Disabled Persons in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Working is the very basic condition for a person to lead one's life in society, and nothing can replace it.
All the above elements apply also the persons with disabilities.
Rather, for those disabled people whose social life with othes is usually poor, and who have less freedom in choosing the direction or ways of life, surrounded by multiple social and supports their right to life.
Therefore disabled people also have a very strong will to find opportunities to work, in order to make their lives worthwhile and to liberate themselves from the feeling of indebtedness to others by achieving social recognition.
The legal system and official measures in Korea for the work and vocational rehabilitation of disabled persons are still at developmental stage.
Regarding the employment, a supported employment system should be established. In the field of welfare employment, drastic improvement of sheltered workshops both in quality and quantity should be achieved as soon as possible.
Now we will be able to mark a new step into a qualitatively higher stage of a community based support system for disabled persons, centering on work and vocational rehabilitation. In order to reach such a stage even one day day earlier, those concerned are encouraged to make further efforts in this direction.
