This study examined the bibliographical characteristics and material values of the fairy tale collection The Prince and His Men published by the Chosun Children’s Culture Association in 1948 during the liberation period. To this end, this study looked into the characteristics of the publication, composition, and content of the book through research on the real book and various literature as well as analysis of the organization and content. The fairy tale collection The Prince and His Men was published as a compilation of six adapted fairy tales that had been introduced by Cho Pung-yeon and Lim Hyosun in Boy, the children’s magazine issued in the late 1930s. The organization of the book was largely composed of the cover, header, table of contents, body text, colophon, and advertisements, and in body text, 3-4 pictures of the illustrator Kim Eui-hwan were placed in each fairy tale to enhance the interest and understanding of the story. Four out of the six fairy tales organized in this book are adaptations of original works by the German writer Grimm, and the rest one were identified as Turkish and British fairy tales, respectively. Also, meanwhile, The Prince and His Men has been known as one of the <Ahyeop Picture Storybook> series in the books published during the liberation period and the publication list of Eulyoo Publishing Co., Ltd. However, as a result of a comparative analysis of their organizations and forms, the fairy tale collection The Prince and His Men did not have the same organization as the certain one shown in the <Ahyeop Picture Storybook> series. With this, it was confirmed that the fairy tale collection The Prince and His Men was published as an independent book, not as a series of the <Ahyeop Picture Storybook>.
