The clinica l ef fect of histamine-7-globulin was reviewed in 31 asthma patie nts who were admitted to the pediatric department of National I % fedical Cente r fro m Octo ber 1979 to March 1982. Following results were obtained. 1 ) Seventy one perce nt of the patients showed cli nical improvement of asthmatic symptoms with histamine -7 globulin I njections. Severe( 70. P;,) and moderate (86. 7 Y o) symptom groups were more respon sive to histamine-7-globulin than the mild group. . 2) The effective rate could be re 3uced to 6 1. 3% when the seasonal f actor was considered. 3) There was no significant correlations between the e ffective rate of hist amine- T-globulin and the kinds of allergens. 4) The patie nts who had several allergens had poor ef fective rate(60. 0%) t han who had only one antig- en(87. 5% ). 5 ) B loo d eosinophil count was reduced with histamine -7 globulin therapy. 6) Nobody showed remarkable side effect except one who was an l y year-old asthmatic bronchitis patie - nt. One day after I njection of histamine-7 globulin, mild fever and erythematous papular rashes were developed over face and trunk and extremities. The drug was discontinued and the rashes and fever dis- appeared two days later. Next week. The half of the usual dosage of histamine-7 globulin was tried with no more side ef fect.
