The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among intolerance of uncertainty, stress coping strategies, and life satisfaction. Also, in this study, it was examined whether stress coping strategies mediated the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and life satisfaction. 239 university students were sampled for this study. For data analysis, reliability analysis, correlation among variables, multiple and hierarchical regressions were conducted. The results of this study were as follows. First, in terms of the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and stress coping strategies, intolerance of uncertainty was negatively correlated with active coping strategies. However, it was positively correlated with religious pursuit, denial, and self-blame. Also, intolerance of uncertainty was negatively correlated with life satisfaction. Second, in terms of the relationship between stress coping strategies and life satisfaction, active coping, seeking for social support, and self-blame significantly predicted life satisfaction. Third, it was found that stress coping strategies such as active coping and self-blame completely mediated the relationship between intolerance of uncertainty and life satisfaction. The implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
