교과교육학 : 논박 기법과 도덕교육 = Methods of Elenchus and its Implications in Ethics Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리가 살고 있는 민주사회에서 문제제기 능력과 답변 능력, 즉 토론할 수 있는 능력은 시민으로서 지녀야 할 중요한 역량으로 간주된다. 논박 기법의 도덕교육적 함의를 탐색하고자 하는 본 연구에서 사용하는 논박이란 선입견과 편견을 깨뜨리고 사고의 지평을 넓히기 위한 논쟁과 질문 기법을 의미한다. 본 연구에서는 논박의 기법을 승패가 있는 논쟁적 토론인 디베이트, 논박을 통해 도덕성 발달을 추구하는 도덕 딜레마 토론, 논박을 통해 왜곡된 사고를 해소하는 상담심리요법으로서 엘리스의 REBT 모형을 중심으로 살펴본다. 끝으로 도덕 교사가 논박 기법을 수업에 활용하 고자 할 때, 영혼에 대한 돌봄과 교육적 사랑에 입각한 ‘소크라테스적 논박’을 지향해야 할 이유를 제시한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In democratic society we lead a meaningful life, capabilities to question and answer are looked upon as a substantial competence of citizen. This study aims to seek the implications of elenchus in ethics education, and defines elenchus as debate, dispute, and refutation with a view to confuting or cross examining prejudices and biased views and enlarging thinking horizons. In this context, the methods of elenchus run as follow: debate as a battle which cannot help dividing victory or defeat, moral dilemma discussion which leads to moral development through various probe strategies, and REBT(by Albert Ellis) as a psychotherapy. Lastly, in case we apply elenchus to ethics education we need to understand the reason why we have to seek after Socratic elenchus on the basis of educational care and love.
